LOGISTICS INTELLIGENCE

Warehouse, Gate & Yard Logistics Video Analytics

Yard, gate, and port operations

Logistics Intelligence logs vehicle and yard operations with vision. Vehicle intake, yard inventory and gate passages come together in one flow; every record leaves an auditable trail.

This line is for vehicle and yard operations — it does not monitor people; vehicles and objects are tracked.

How does video analytics work in a vehicle yard?

Three core yard jobs are tied to records through vision. At vehicle intake the chassis number (VIN) is read with a handheld device or a fixed camera and matched to order and damage records; Spotter does this. For yard inventory, fixed cameras keep each vehicle's position and dwell state current; YardVision does this. At the gate, number-plate recognition (ANPR) logs entries and exits with timestamps and opens the barrier based on defined lists. Every read is stored with a photo and passed to ERP and security systems over API. The system looks at vehicles; drivers and operators are not identified.

GATE OPERATIONS

A gate passage becomes a record.

A truck approaches the gate, the plate is read, a record opens and the barrier lifts. On site, the same steps run from your existing gate cameras; every passage leaves an auditable trail.

GATE 3 · TRUCK · ENTRY ILLUSTRATIVE SCENE

PLATE · 34 ABC 123 · 0.98 record opened · barrier raised

COVERAGE

Vehicle intake and VIN

Incoming chassis numbers are read and matched to order and damage records.

Yard inventory

Vehicle locations and dwell states stay current from the yard cameras.

Gates and ramps

Gate passages and ramp usage are logged; bottlenecks show early.

Dispatch verification

Outgoing vehicles and loads are verified with photo-backed records.

WHO IT IS FOR — Logistics and yard operations management — teams moving vehicle flows off hand-kept lists.

FROM THE FIELD

Doğuş Otomotiv · Doğuş Oto · Doğuş Teknoloji

OPERATIONAL CONTEXT

Vehicle yards take in, park and dispatch thousands of vehicles.

PROBLEM

Vehicle intake and yard inventory ran by hand; search and reconciliation took time.

DEPLOYMENT APPROACH

Started with handheld scanning (Spotter), extended with yard cameras (YardVision).

OUTCOME

Every step from intake to dispatch is logged; a yard query takes seconds.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between VIN OCR and ANPR?
A VIN is the 17-character identity number stamped on the vehicle chassis, used in intake, dispatch and order matching. ANPR reads the registration plate at the gate for entry-exit logs, barrier control and parking occupancy. They answer different questions at different points.
What do Spotter and YardVision do?
Spotter is the handheld scanning product: a field operator checks a vehicle in with a mobile device, the VIN is read and matched to order and damage records. YardVision keeps the yard inventory current from fixed cameras and finds a vehicle's place in the yard by chassis number. Most deployments start with Spotter and extend with YardVision.
Can existing yard and gate cameras be used?
At the gate, an existing camera that sees the plate head-on is usually fine; night reading needs IR lighting. VIN reading needs the plate to appear large and sharp in the frame, so wide-angle yard cameras often fall short. Photos of your reading points let us assess fit before installation.
How do records reach our existing systems?
Reads are passed to ERP, warehouse management or security systems over API; barrier control uses dry contact. Order lists and dispatch manifests are connected the same way as references.
Where is this line running?
Logistics Intelligence is live at Doğuş Otomotiv, Doğuş Oto and Doğuş Teknoloji sites: intake started with handheld scanning and was extended with yard cameras. The mobile apps are published on the App Store and Google Play.
