City Intelligence connects the municipal field to inspection and service flows. Vehicle-mounted cameras log road, signage, waste and occupation findings with location on routine routes; every finding becomes a task for the right unit.
This line is for inspection, compliance and service — it is not a public-surveillance tool and does not identify people.
How do municipalities use AI for field inspection?
Service vehicles that already drive regular routes are fitted with a road-facing camera and an Algi Edge device that records location. As the vehicle drives its normal round, video is evaluated in the vehicle: potholes, cracks, broken kerbs, worn road markings, overflowing containers, illegal signage and bus-stop occupation are flagged as separate classes. Every finding is logged on the map with location, date and photo and lands as a task for the responsible unit; it is closed with a record when the work is done. Inspection no longer depends on citizen complaints, and the whole route is scanned regularly. The product that does this is ALGI CityView.

- What is the difference between City Intelligence and CityView?
- City Intelligence is the solution line covering municipal inspection and service workflows as a whole. CityView is the line's vehicle-mounted inspection product: a camera on the vehicle detects road, pavement, waste and urban-order issues while driving.
- Can the city's fixed cameras be used?
- Yes, for a different job. A road surface can only be scanned from a moving vehicle at close range, so the road-damage inventory comes from vehicle cameras. Fixed cameras are used for junction, square and bus-stop analysis.
- How do findings reach the right unit?
- Findings are grouped on the map by district, street and type. Selected records are assigned as work orders to public works, cleaning or municipal police, and closed when the work is done. When the route is scanned again, the state of the repaired spot is visible.
- Does the system record citizens?
- No. The line is for inspection, compliance and service; it is not a public-surveillance tool. It looks at the road surface and street furniture and does not recognize or identify people. A finding consists of type, location, date and photo.
- What happens where there is no mobile coverage?
- Evaluation runs on the device in the vehicle. Where there is no coverage, findings are stored on the device and uploaded once a connection is available.
