What it needs and how it works
Weapon & Blade Detection ships as a ready-made rule and is configured for your site. The rule searches each frame for the target object and flags it with its location. Presence, count or state within a defined area becomes an event per the configured condition. Analysis runs either on an Algi Edge device installed on site or on ALGI AI servers; your existing IP cameras are used, and extra hardware is not necessarily required.

How false alarms are reduced
Look-alike objects, reflections and shadows are typical confusion sources. Narrowing the region of interest, confidence thresholds and scene calibration lower false alarms; each verified event strengthens the model.

The data produced is anonymous and lands in the store-operations dashboard; no person is identified — GDPR-compliant by design.
